Coach Cliff Dyer

Coach_dyer3Coach Cliff Dyer began swimming at the Bicentennial Pool as an age group swimmer for the Sun Coast Swim Team.  Dyer also swam for Capt. Holme as a member of the Crystal River High School swim team.  With the help of Dyer CRHS won numerous Division and Conference championships in addition to qualifying to swim for FHSAA State Championships. Dyer continued his swimming career by swimming for the highly respected Indian River State College where, he helped the IRC team win two NJCAA National Championships.  After finishing at IRC, Dyer concluded his college swimming for the Florida State University.

Following his swim career, Coach Dyer became a teacher in the Citrus County School system and became head coach of the Crystal River High School.  He also began coaching the Sun Coast Swim Team where he began as a swimmer.  Coach Dyer’s educational responsibilities made it challenging to continue as head coach at CRHS but he still coaches for SCST where he continues to inspire and motivate swimmers.
