Cliff Dyer has been involved in swimming both as a competitive swimmer beginning as an age group swimmer through high school and into collegiate levels. Coach Dyer is a SCST and Crystal River High School swim team alumnus. 

Dyer began swimming for the SCST in middle school and continued swimming for SCST in high school.  In high school Dyer swam for the CRHS Pirate Swim Team for four years.  Coach Dyer still holds the CRHS swim record in the 100 Free and as a member of the 200IM Relay team a record that has held for over 12 years.

After high school Dyer went on the swim in college at the well respected Indian River College Swim Team.  The IRC swim team has won more national swim titles then any other college in its division. After IRC Dyer transferred to Florida State University and and swim for the Florida State University Swim Team. At FSU Dyer received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in teaching and athletics administration.  Dyer came back to Citrus County and began teaching in the Citrus County School System.

In 2007 Dyer moved from being a swimmer in the water to a swim coach on deck.  During his first season as Head Coach of the CRHS Swim Team, both the Boy's and Girl’s Team won Conference/CCAA and District Championships.

Coach Dyer maintains valid American Red Cross cards for Standard First Aid, Adult CPR/AED, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. 

Coach Dyer is an inspiration to SCST swimmers and is and outstanding swimmer, coach and teacher!
